Artist: Michael Mac Carthy

Michael Mac Carthy was born in Mallow in 1940. He emigrated to Australia in 1966 and returned to Ireland in 1997. He spent a year in the Nevada mountains in Califonia painting major scenes for reproduction for the US forest services.

He is a full time artist and to date he has had more than 40 exhibitions and has works displayed in Government House, Sydney, Allied Irish Merchant Bank, The Hague University of Califonia, The bank of America, in many hotels around Ireland and private collections around the world.
